My Experience Living in Bali
Community living has become increasingly popular in recent years, as people search for ways to connect with others and find a sense of belonging. Living in a community can be a transformative experience, offering opportunities for personal growth, collaboration, and connection. In this blog post, I will share my experience of living in a small community in Bali and explore the collaborative power of community living.
Living in a community can be an enriching experience, as it offers a space where people can come together to share their talents, knowledge, and resources. Since 2019, I have had the opportunity to live in a small community in Bali, where I experienced first-hand the transformative power of communal living. The community was made up of people from all over the world, each with their unique skills and backgrounds, and we all came together to create a shared space where we could live, work, and learn from one another.
One of the most significant benefits of living in a community is the opportunity to collaborate with others. In our Bali community, we worked together to build each other up, emotional support, celebrate and have fun with each other and grow our ideas and relationships. Each member of the community contributed their skills, whether it was coaching, cooking, or building, and we learned from one another as we worked. By working together, we accomplished tasks that would have been impossible for one person alone, and we developed a sense of camaraderie and mutual support that was incredibly fulfilling.
In addition to collaboration, community living offers safe opportunities for personal growth and self-discovery. Living in close proximity with others can be challenging at times, as it requires compromise, communication, and openness. However, by navigating these challenges, we can learn a lot about ourselves and develop important skills like empathy, compassion, and conflict resolution. By living in a community, I discovered new aspects of myself, pushed myself out of my comfort zone, and developed a greater sense of self-awareness and self-confidence.
Another significant benefit of community living is the sense of inclusion and connection that it offers. In a world that often feels disconnected and fragmented, living in a community can provide a sense of belonging and purpose. In our Bali community, we celebrated cultural events, shared meals, and engaged in meaningful conversations that helped us feel connected to one another and to the larger world around us. I felt a sense of belonging and camaraderie that I had never experienced before, and I developed deep connections with people from all over the world.
Living in a community can be a transformative and enriching experience that offers opportunities for personal growth, collaboration, and connection. My experience in a small community in Bali taught me the power of communal living and the importance of working together to create a sustainable and fulfilling way of life. Whether you are looking for a sense of belonging, a space to connect with others, or an opportunity for personal growth, community living offers a unique and powerful way to experience the world around you.
